Unfortunately, I could not be with all of you today; I am so sorry for your loss! Your mother was such a dear, kind Southern lady who always made others feel welcome! My own mother thought so much of Dot and considered her one of her closest friends... What great faith, strength and wonderful personality she had...just like you, Betsy. I will continue to keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Miss Dot was a most unique and always gracious person, and I truly will miss her. In the course of a lifetime, if you are truly lucky, you will know people that inspire you, Dot was one of those people for me, and I am much the better for having known her.

Dear Betsy & Sue (my circle sisters), you have had so much loss in the past few months I am so sorry. I love you and have thought about you every day. I am going to miss Ms, Dot very much. I already have, from beind my pew. It made me teary eyed to see her in the paper, but I like that pic and I'm gona save it.

Dear Ruff Family; My family and I are sadden by the death of your dear mother. She and Virgil were great friends to our family coming up in Columbia, in cub and boy scouts at Incarnation. Ruth was one of the reasons I loved visiting Dale and Mike when they lived in Leesville (at your backdoor). Your mother was a great conversationalist and so kind and sharing, and a wonderful neighbor. I have missed her and was sorry when Will told me Wednesday evening that she had died. I did not realize she had been so sick. She will be greatly missed, I know my grandsons, Trey, Brett and Will (Woo), will always remember her with loving thoughts and memories. You have my deepest sympathy and wish I could personally be there to give you a hug. My love,

Mrs. Dot was such a sweet person. I loved talking to her about the neighborhood cats! She will be missed. I am in California and won't be able to attend the service. Please know you will be in my thoughts and prayers!

We have many fond memories of Mrs. Dot, and enjoyed the numerous moments spent in conversation with her. We'll miss seeing her when we visit with Sue and Ira, and will be keeping the family in our thoughts and prayers.

Your entire precious family will be in our continued prayers! We loved Mrs. Dot very much and appreciate all of the positive energy that came from her!!! Her eagerness to include us on many occassions did not go unnoticed, and we are so thankful that she always made us feel like part of the family when we were around.
