Services for Berley D. Derrick, 88, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Cedar Grove Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gary Brandenburg and Rev. Kathleen Panning officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel is in charge. Memorials may be made to Cedar Grove Lutheran Church 1220 Cedar Grove Road Leesville, SC 29070.
Born in Lexington County, he was a son of the late Billie A. and Willie Goff Derrick. He was a member of Cedar Grove Lutheran Church, was a retired sheet metal worker and an Army Veteran of WW II.
Surviving are his wife, Runette Craps Derrick, daughter, Barbara Amick of Lexington, brother, Pat Derrick of Leesville, sister, Myrtle Hunolt of Memphis, TN, grandchildren, Teresa Brooks, Ronnie Amick, Deena Frost, Mendy Miller, great-grandchildren, Joshua and Emery Brooks, Rodman and Ryan Frost, Chance Newsome, Zach Smith, and Hollister Miller.
